The Flower Ripple Wedding – Exhibition of Macao Fashion Wedding Gowns and Flowers

Akina Lei, graduated in Multi-Media Design at Macao Polytechnic Institute, and went on to obtaining the Fashion Design & Manufacturing Diploma at The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM). In the few years following her graduation, Akina has gained her experiences as a Fashion Merchandiser and Image Consultant,both positions at staple corporate in Macau, which had led her to find inspiration in creating her own collection and was featured alongside other designers at fashion shows and exhibitions. With positive response received from the field, Akina started her fashion label “Salut, ca va ?” in 2010.

Brand：“Salut, ca va ?”－ a casual and warm “Hello, how are you?” revolves around us every day, and the meaning stays the same regardless which hour of the day it is being said. Just as our brand stays true to preserve timelessness and remain unaffected by perceived trends, we believe it is most important to create pieces that fit our patrons. Established in Macau, a city enriched by Continental-European cultures, we hope to reflect this uniqueness through the French phrase, and also the vintage, lace designs in our feminine pieces, infused with romanticism.   One of the local Macau fashion brands, “Salut, ca va ?” is a women’s wear established in 2010, with a signature style in feminism and vintage romanticism,various collections featuring casual wear and attires perfect for special occasions.“Salut, ca va ?” offers tailor made services for male and female clients. Some of our creations include bridal gowns, cocktail dresses and special requested outfits for artists. In 2014, “Salut, ca va ?” began its own workshop to further evolve as an independent fashion brand, with an added focus on providing image consultation and costume design for clients including associations and corporations.

Dora Un is graduated from The Art Institute of California-San Francisco with a bachelor degree in Fashion Design. She has absorbed the costume aesthetics of western fashion and skills from school and fashion houses she worked for and brings them back to Macao. After she returned to Macao, she founded her design brand “a.dora.ble” in 2014. Using the special couture crafting skills she has learned, Dora commits to bring a whole different fashion view to more people and let them taste the juice of fashion.

Stella Tang, president of the Macao Local Fashion Designers’ Society. Currently working as the designer for her own studio “STELLA ESTILISTA”, which has been established for more than ten years. The studio focuses on design and production of uniforms for government and private organizations. She graduated from the Fashion Design course of CADI Macao in 1990 and won a 2nd place award in the Graduation Show. Since 2002, she has participated in many major fashion shows organized by the Government to promote Macao. At the same year, she established her own fashion label “REVIVAL”. She won bronze medal in Jeanswest Fashion Award Competition in Beijing in 2003. At the same year, she designed and produced uniforms for The Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries. In 2009, she became the Chief Organizer for the “Grand Elegance” large-scale Fashion Show to celebrate the National Day of the Republic of China and the Anniversary of Macao Handover. She was also the Chief Organizer for the “Fantasia Wardrobe” Fashion Show at St. Lazarus Church. In recent years, she is invited to be the guest instructor at the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center to nurture a new generation of designers.

Chantelle Cheang is a film art director and fashion designer. She has developed a keen interest in art and design since she was a child and has taken design courses as an exchange student in Singapore. In 2011, she began to dabble in the film and television industry and was involved in many commercial shoots as an art director and costume designer. In 2013, she established her own brand Chavin Art & Costume Design. Meanwhile, she also designed uniforms for Suncity Group and served as stylist for several Sands Cotai Central’s advertisements since 2016. In addition, she was four times the finalist for the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s “Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making” between 2013 and 2017.

Chavin is a designer brand from Macao – the Oriental Las Vegas. The brand was founded in 2013 by Chantelle Cheang and Mac Chi Lon. Chavin firmly believes that modern women deserve unique clothing that allows them to give off their charisma. Women’s lives should be as wonderful as fashion shows and the whole world should be their runway. At present, the brand mainly produces Haute Couture, evening gowns, wedding dresses and accessories. Its sister-brand Aries and Mars, launched in 2018, is dedicated to experiencing every rite of passage with the ladies. Chavin also provides one-on-one personalised services for customers as well as styling and design services for films and television.
