I.N.K was co-founded in 2016 by fashionista Inky Leong and designer Kris Chan from Macao. The brand name created with their initials denotes “ink” and connotes “idea overflow in ink”, that is, translation of inspirations into memorable ink creations. With an emphasis on innovation and cultural diversity, I.N.K develops original, market-oriented series using local cultural elements, including those of art and music to spread the spirit of Macao’s fashion brands.   Brand Operations Director:Inky Leong Inky Leong was born in Macao and is now a fashion stylist, lecturer and fashion columnist for local culture publication SD Magazine. He founded fashion boutique Inky Store in 2014 in Macao to promote fashion cultures. He has worked in branding, management and retail for some international fashion brands, such as Vivienne Westwood, Burberry and Hermès, and as a host and guest speaker in various activities of Burberry, Dior and local fashion brands. Moreover, he has been an image consultant for artists, TV programs and award ceremonies of Macao and Mainland China; invited to the Fashion Week in London, Paris and Seoul. Leong is also a model in Macao, who engages in local multi-media productions. Brand Design Director:Kris Chan A Macao native, Kris Chan graduated from the Department of Fashion Design at College of Design under the Shih Chien University in Taiwan, and has had ten years of work experience in the clothing industry. He has been an artist stylist, designer of women’s and men’s clothing respectively for Taiwan fashion brand Mademoiselle SiSi and GOZO. He also worked as a fashion and product designer for Macau Creations, brand designer for Soda Panda and fashion designer for Gino & Dino of Venetian Macao. Jane Chan, with a bachelor’s degree in clothing design from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT), worked for Kappa, Jack & Jones, Peak and other brands as designer. Her designs were showcased twice on the fashion trend website, WGSN (Worth Global Style Network). In 2010, she designed torch bearer uniforms for National Intercity Games of the People’s Republic of China, as well as uniforms for numerous national Olympic delegations. She returned to Macao in 2013 and designed her casual wear collection for men, “BOMDIA”, which was selected to the “2013 Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making” by Cultural Affairs Bureau. Now the designer is the director for local brand “MACON”   Brand:MACON is an original fashion brand introduced by Fuson Garment Factory Limited in 2013. It is also the first Macao fashion brand that has successfully launched on the shopping platform TMall.com. By now, MACON has a brick-and-mortar shop in mainland China, attracting lots of shoppers and earning great reviews. By integrating its design concepts with Macao’s characteristics as a city of leisure and tourism, it advocates downshifting and travelling light. Ella Lei,A post-1980s born in Macao, Ella is a graduate from the Design Department, School of Art, MacaoPolytechnic Institute, majoring in multimedia design. She worked as art and animation designer during four years, while taking a fashion design diploma program. She is currently a freelance designer passionate about illustration and fashion design, hoping to progress by merging both. She is actively participating in exhibitions and fashion events, working on her own fashion label “ella épeler”.   Brand:The brand name ella épeler contains a French word ‘épeler’, which is some sort of conjunction and is used often when referring to an act of linking or joining things together. Adhering the concept ‘Bring Your Attitude To Life’, ella épeler experiments with combining various elements in unconventional tailoring and with integrating original illustrations and artistic ideas into its designs, and so on. By doing so, the brand produces fascinating clothing embodying the diversity and uniqueness of fashion, with an aspiration to turn them into treasures in the closet, apart from offering more choices for the buyers. ella épeler rolls out items by series rather than seasons and makes audaciously creative attempts inspired by people’s different dressing styles. Wai Chin Seong Influenced by her mother since childhood, Wai always had a keen interest in fashion design. After graduating from high school, she went to Shih Chien University, Kaohsiung Campus in Taiwan area, to study fashion design and marketing. From 2010 to 2012, she went on to ESMOD Beijing for advanced studies in fashion design. She was selected to showcase her graduation project “O LA LA” at the Beijing Fashion Week. Wai has gradually cultivated her unique personal taste and distinctive design style. In 2014, she worked as the costume designer and character image designer for two Macao movies, Timing and Our Seventeen. Her works were often showcased in Macao, Hong Kong, Beijing, Taiwan area, etc. In 2016, Wai brought the Spring/Summer 2017 Collection of her own brand, “POURQUOI”, to the prestigious Haute Couture and Trendsetter Fashion Exhibition “TRANOÏ” at the Paris Fashion Week. In 2017, POURQUOI was invited to various clothing exhibitions   Brand:POURQUOI means “why” in French, which is children’s favorite question. Experimenting with new inspirations and unconventional thoughts, the designer mixes fun and fantasy elements into her creations, turning each piece into a little riddle. KC GIDEON, Born to a family in business in the knitting industry for decades in Macao, Tam has been passionate about fashion design since childhood. At sixteen, he went to study in the UK, where he graduated at the Kingston University London, majoring in design, which laid the foundation for his future career. In 2000, he won the London Royal Society of Arts (RSA) Annual Menswear Design Award that garnered him wide attention as an emerging designer. In 2001, he graduated from the university with First-class Honors. Due to his talent and expertise, he had the privilege of working at top fashion houses in the UK and later, in France. Brand :In 2006, Tam established his personal brand “Placed by Gideon” in London, which mainly focuses on luxury fashion sweaters. His brand made its debut in 2008, at the Paris Fashion Week, receiving wide acclaim from the international fashion industry for its unique design and workmanship. His 2010 Spring/Summer Collection won him the Young Menswear Designer Award at the Berlin Fashion Week. He was further invited to showcase his 2013 Autumn/Winter Collection at the Copenhagen Fashion Week. Lo Ka Heng and Choi Wai Leng Lo is a hair stylist and an image designer. He is an active participant in major international fashion shows and hair shows, where he has worked as a hair stylist and an image designer.   Brand: “AURALO ARTE”, features a perfect combination of art and gorgeousness, designing trendy and unique clothes. Haute couture production methods have been employed in every detail.
