China Chic ‧ Fashion and Trend – Greater Bay Area Fashion Exhibition

Recent years have seen the rise of China Chic, which refers to consumer goods infused with traditional Chinese culture and style. This trend is more than people’s way of paying tribute to traditional Chinese culture. Over several years of evolution and innovation, it has become a new bellwether. Likewise, its significance lies not only in showcasing how chic domestic consumer goods are but also in combining today’s innovation with the richness of Chinese culture. The added value of these products also enjoys a steep jump as the traditional culture and patriotism are infused into a diversity of cultural and creative products to generate a new consumption trend that has appealed to a multitude of consumers.

With the strong support of the Guangdong Association of Garment and Garment Article Industry and the Guangdong Fashion Designers Association, Macao Fashion Gallery has launched the “China Chic ‧ Fashion and Trend — Greater Bay Area Fashion Exhibition”. Works created by rising fashion designers from Macao, Guangzhou and Zhuhai will be exhibited in this event to express their penchant for cultural creation, their recognition of the Chinese nation and their confidence in Chinese culture.

In no particular order, Demi Ding (Macao), Jack Cai (Guangzhou) and Eillen Cao (Zhuhai), three fashion designers from the Greater Bay Area, will each create three works for this exhibition. These nine representative pieces will give people a glimpse of the innovative mixture of the traditional and modern style and therefore allow them to appreciate the charm of China Chic. The Macao Fashion Gallery thanks all its collaborating units for making this exhibition possible and providing outstanding fashion designers in the Greater Bay Area with a platform to display their works.
