Eillen Cao

Eillen Cao completed her degree in Bespoke Tailoring and Visual Merchandising at the University of the Arts London. During her stay in Britain, she worked for Welsh & Jefferies, a bespoke tailoring shop based in Savile Row, London. Later, she joined the Design and R&D Department of EXCEPTION. Leveraging her 12 years of overseas study and work experience related to fashion, she set up this studio with an aim to integrate design ideas abroad more closely into our everyday life.

Founded in 2018, Ininformal is a studio dedicated to combining the craft of haute couture with ready-to-wear pieces in its growth and exploration. It targets the new generation of female white-collar workers, providing them with quality clothing to showcase their personal charm and the best version of themselves despite the fast pace of modern life. Its offerings are easy to wear and are characterised by a simple style and a sense of individuality. The team has multi-cultural background and always seeks inspiration from their diverse cultural backgrounds and histories for their design.
